ERH Update – October 05, 2018

ERH Update – October 5, 2018:

ERH treatment system operating measures as of October 1, 2018:

  • Average subsurface temperature was 102.7º C.
  • The ERH system has applied 7,389,235 kWh of the estimated 8,255,000 kWh of energy to complete treatment.  This represents 90% of the estimated total energy necessary to complete remediation.
  • The estimated TCE removal to-date is 4,746 pounds.
  • The perimeter air monitoring system has shown no TCE emissions at the perimeter of the site. The air monitoring results will be available on EPA’s website at https://cumulis.epa.gov/supercpad/cursites/csitinfo.cfm?id=0402598.

Please note that you may see occasional steam from the thermal treatment unit during system operation.  This is normal water condensation caused by weather conditions, and not a release of TCE vapor.
