ERH Update – September 14, 2018:
ERH treatment system operating measures as of September 10, 2018:
- Average subsurface temperature was 103.0º C.
- The ERH system has applied 6,290,636 kWh of the estimated 8,255,000 kWh of energy to complete treatment. This represents 76% of the estimated total energy necessary to complete remediation.
- The estimated TCE removal to-date is 2,118 pounds.
- The perimeter air monitoring system has shown no TCE emissions at the perimeter of the site. The air monitoring results will be available on EPA’s website at https://cumulis.epa.gov/supercpad/cursites/csitinfo.cfm?id=0402598.
Please note that you may see occasional steam from the thermal treatment unit during system operation. This is normal water condensation caused by weather conditions, and not a release of TCE vapor.
